The Peninsula Fire District protects an area of approximately 17 square miles of land and water with a population of 1158 (2007 census) that increases to approx 5000+ during the summer months. Providing fire suppression, Advanced Life Support ambulance service to over 1,900 homes , and ice rescue from our 16 foot hovercraft. Peninsula Fire District provides ALS response and transport for the citizens of the Hamilton Branch Fire District (Pop. 738 / 699 homes)
Peninsula Fire District currently provides management and staffing for Hamilton Branch Fire District.
Peninsula Fire District is also home to OES 379, this Engine is owned by the State of California Office of Emergency Services and on loan to PFD. PFD on order will staff this engine in times of disaster for response anywhere in California
Peninsula Fire District is an ISO Class 3 Fire Department.
